Gwinnett runs one of the better county park systems in metro Atlanta, and the northeast spine from Suwanee to Dacula holds the pick of the crop. Here is where locals actually go on a free afternoon.
Little Mulberry Park
The county's nature showpiece at the Mulberry line, with a waterfall walk and miles of wooded trail. Take the short loop first; it is the one everyone photographs.
Tribble Mill Park, Lawrenceville
Seven hundred thirteen acres with two lakes and gravel trails, the most-reviewed park in the system, good for walking and riding alike.
Duncan Creek Park, Dacula
Playgrounds and fields on the Braselbra highway, the Saturday sports hub of the northeast corner.
Rhodes Jordan and Alexander, Lawrenceville
Rhodes Jordan is the 162-acre green five minutes from the square, with a pool; Alexander carries the disc golf.
The full parks-by-city list lives on the Parks & Outdoors page, with city links and the county web page.
