How this list works

Organized by experience, with the city on every card

Pick the kind of night you want, or read by geography below: each card names a real display, its city, and what it is, then links straight to the organizer, the venue, or the official tourism page. Dates and prices appear only where the official source confirmed them for 2026. If a well-known show could not be verified for the season, it is not on this page rather than guessed at.

The honest note

Holiday seasons sell out early and dates shift. Confirm dates, hours, prices, and tickets with the official page before you drive anywhere. The Christmas hub rounds up the rest of the season on the site, from tree lightings to Santa photos.

Quick questions about Georgia's Christmas lights

When do Georgia's Christmas lights turn on?

Most of the big displays open between mid-November and Thanksgiving, and most run through the first days of January. The window differs for every show, so each card on this page states its own dates and links to the official source.

Do I need to book tickets in advance?

The biggest shows sell timed-entry tickets online and recommend buying ahead; some park and garden events are pay-at-the-gate. The honest rule: if the official page sells timed tickets, book them. Holiday nights sell out early across the board.

Are the displays open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

It varies by show. Rock City's Enchanted Garden of Lights, for example, is closed on Christmas Eve, while some parks run straight through. Check the official page for the exact night you are planning before you go.

Which display is best for young kids?

The drive-through shows are the easiest evening out with little ones, since nobody has to walk or wait in the cold. The family-friendly park seasons add characters, rides, and shows around the lights. Any of them works; it depends on whether you want to stay in the car.

Before you go

Displays change year to year: dates, times, prices, and locations come from the official source and may shift without notice. Confirm with the organizer before attending. Nothing on this page is an invented listing; every card links to the page that carries the current detail.
