A relaxed, social morning in the orchard
This is meant to be relaxed and social. Meet at B.J. Reece Orchards around 9:30 AM. Come for the apple picking, stay for the farm fun, and bring the family. The more the merrier.
The trip runs on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with apple picking, pig races, the market, the bakery, and cider on the morning plan below.

What the Morning Will Look Like
We’ll meet at B.J. Reece Orchards around 9:30 AM and spend the morning enjoying one of our favorite North Georgia fall traditions.
This is meant to be relaxed and social — come for the apple picking, stay for the farm fun, and bring the family. The more the merrier!
🍎 9:30 AM — Meet Up
Meet near the U-Pick area, grab your apple bags and tickets, and give everyone a few minutes to arrive and get together.
🍏 9:45–10:45 AM — Apple Picking
We’ll head into the orchard together for about an hour of apple picking, photos and wandering through the trees.
We’re planning to start around the U-Pick 2 area, where varieties may include:
Crimson Crisp • Shizuka • Golden Delicious • Rome Beauty
Apple availability can change depending on what has been picked and what is ready that day.
🐷 Around 11:00 AM — Pig Races
After picking, we’ll head toward the farm activities and try to catch the 11:00 AM pig races.
🚜 11:15 AM–12:15 PM — Farm Fun
After the races, everyone can enjoy the orchard at their own pace.
Depending on your ticket package, activities may include things like wagon rides, the petting farm, slides, jumping areas, cow train and other family activities.
🥧 Around 12:15 PM — Market, Bakery & Cider
Before heading home, we’ll stop by the market and bakery for some of the good stuff — apple cider, cider donuts, fried pies, fresh apples and other fall treats.
🕐 Around 12:30–1:00 PM — Official Wrap-Up
We’ll loosely wrap up around lunchtime, but there’s absolutely no rush. Anyone who wants to stay longer can continue enjoying the farm and activities.
Come for an hour or stay for the whole morning.
We’ve been doing apple-picking trips like this for years and would love to have more friends and families join us.
