Nearly two weeks of rides, livestock, contests, and fair food on Sugarloaf Parkway. The big county fair of the fall, running from mid-September past the equinox, and the reliable family week on the calendar.
Braves final homestand: Reds at Truist Park
Sep 22 - Sep 24 · Truist Park, Atlanta
The last regular-season homestand of the year in The Battery: the Braves host the Cincinnati Reds for three night games. It is a big draw for baseball fans across the service area, with the postseason on the line.
Around the World in the DTL
Sep 25 - Sep 26 · The Lawrenceville Lawn, Lawrenceville
Lawrenceville's free multicultural festival on the lawn behind the courthouse: food, music, and art from the world's tables set up on the county seat's main stage. Admission is free, and the evening concerts run late.
Duluth Fall Festival

The long-running Duluth tradition: a parade, hundreds of vendors, live entertainment, and a 5K around the historic downtown green. One of the largest free festivals in Gwinnett, a short drive down the corridor.
Flowery Branch Fall Festival

The 18th annual village celebration on the old railroad side of Flowery Branch: vendors, food, and live music within walking distance of the lake. A small-town Saturday that fills the downtown blocks.
Motul Petit Le Mans
Sep 30 - Oct 3 · Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Braselton
The IMSA WeatherTech season finale, a 10-hour endurance race that closes the year at Road Atlanta. Practice and qualifying run Thursday and Friday, and the main event starts Saturday afternoon and finishes under darkness.

A full weekend on the village square: carnival rides, nightly live music, food vendors, and a kids zone around the old depot. Hoschton's biggest weekend of the year, three days long.
Taste of BBQ & Music Festival
Oct 3 · The Bowl at Sugar Hill, Sugar Hill
Barbecue, live music, and the Green busy from morning until the lights come up. The single Saturday the whole city plans around, with pit masters and bands filling The Bowl.
Big Green Egg EGGtoberfest
Oct 3 · Gwinnett Field, Lawrenceville
The annual Big Green Egg cookout with dozens of grills on the grass, tasting tickets, and live music at Gwinnett Field. A fundraiser-style food festival for anyone who takes grilling seriously.
African American Culture and Arts Festival
Oct 3 · Suwanee Town Center Park, Suwanee
A free afternoon of music, art, food, and heritage celebration on the Town Center lawn. Suwanee's annual festival honoring African American culture, with vendors and a full stage.
Scarecrows in the Gainesville Garden
Oct 3 - Nov 1 · Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville, Gainesville
The garden campus on the lake dresses up with a scarecrow display through the whole month of October. A family-friendly seasonal walk with the children's garden and fall color, admission covers the garden.
Mule Camp Market

The Gainesville Jaycees' three-day regional fall festival: craft vendors, a food court, a concert stage, and a kids zone on the greenway. One of the biggest fall gatherings in Northeast Georgia since 1993, free to walk.
Sugar Rush Arts Festival

A free two-day juried art festival on the downtown sidewalk: visual and performing arts, live painters, vendors, food trucks, and music. The city's ninth annual run, with the family activities on the Green.
Gainesville Chicken Festival
Oct 17 · Lake Lanier Olympic Park, Gainesville
The poultry capital does it proudly: the Georgia Official Chicken Cook-Off, live music, and kids' activities on the lakefront. A knowingly fun nod to Hall County's poultry heritage with a full day of tastings.
SQUAREcrows
Oct 18 - Oct 31 · Historic Gainesville Square, Gainesville
The 12th annual scarecrow takeover on the Historic Gainesville Square: businesses and groups fill the courthouse square with handmade scarecrows. A free evening walk tradition that runs right up to Halloween.
Braselton Antique & Artisan Festival
Oct 24 - Oct 25 · Downtown Commerce (2026 relocation), Braselton
The long-running antique and artisan market now sets up in Downtown Commerce, a short drive from Braselton. More than 250 vendors of antiques, crafts, and food fill the main street, as they filled Braselton's square for decades.
The Pixel Man Airshow
Oct 24 · Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport, Gainesville
A fall airshow at the Gainesville airport with aerobatic performances and static displays on the ramp. A loud, unhurried Saturday afternoon for the plane crowd.

Suwanee Wine Fest
Nov 7 · Suwanee Town Center Park, Suwanee
Wine, cocktail, and craft-beer tastings with live music and food vendors on the Town Center. A ticketed adult evening on the lawn as the season winds down.
Songwriters at the Lake
Nov 13 - Nov 15 · Lanier Islands Resort, Buford
The inaugural songwriters festival at Lanier Islands: three days and eight stages on the lake, headlined by Chuck Leavell and friends with Randall Bramblett, Jimmy Hall, and Joanna Cotten. Tickets are sold through the resort.

2026 FIFA World Cup: Atlanta semifinal
Jul 15 · Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
Atlanta hosted eight World Cup matches in summer 2026, closing with the semifinal Argentina vs England on July 15 before a sold-out 68,239. It was the biggest sporting moment the region has hosted in a generation, and it now sits in the archive.
Gwinnett Public Safety Fall Festival
Sep 12 · Gwinnett County, Lawrenceville
A free family day with first responders, a Touch-a-Truck line, and a motorcycle competition. This year's edition already took place in mid-September; watch for the 2027 date closer to the season.

Snellville Farmers' Market
Seasonal Saturdays on the Towne Green
The award-winning market on the new city square, with local produce, baked goods, and crafts every Saturday in season. Dates follow the growing season, so check the host calendar.

Second Saturday, March through November
Produce, crafts, food trucks, and live music beside the old railroad depot on the second Saturday of each month through the season. The village's monthly gathering since the market first set up at the depot.

The poultry city's signature spring festival, a knowingly fun nod to its chicken heritage. The 2026 edition's fall cousin, the Chicken Festival, runs in October; the spring festival returns next year on the square.
