Gwinnett County Fairgrounds
Nine days of the county fair each September, plus horse and car events year round. The 2026 fair closed Sunday, September 27, and returns next September. A high recommendation is to get your wristbands online, which is $27 a person. It's clear bag policy only. No re-entry after 7 PM. Ride credits from the on-site sign: 100 credits $10, 200 credits $18, 550 credits $40, plus a one-time activation fee. Ride wristbands and credits are valid for rides only, not food or games. Rider height restrictions apply: you can ride solo in the green zone, ride with an adult in the yellow zone, and not tall enough in the red zone. Adult rides have minimum heights ranging from 42 to 55 inches and kiddie rides from 30 to 42 inches. The per-ride height chart on the Amusements of America sign: red zone 36" Drop Tower; orange 36" Kiddie Coaster and Mini Swing; yellow 42" Kiddie Cars, Scrambler, Super Slide; green 48" Fun House, Flying Bumper Cars; blue 48" Surf City, Big Top; pink 48" Razzle Dazzle. Every ride has its own sign with its own height requirement. Gate admission for 2026 from the fair's official site: adults 12-64 $11, children 6-11 $5.50, seniors 65+ $5.50, and children 5 and under free with a paying adult. The fairgrounds layout from the site map: the main office, the exhibit building, the 4-H building with the animal petting zoo, the large arena and barn and the small arena, the entertainment building, Kiddie Land, first aid, restrooms with baby changing stations, the Sugarloaf and Davis parking lots, and the entrances and exits. This year's attractions include laser tag in the exhibit building and a dining area, plus the entertainment shows Lady Houdini and the King BMX Bike Show as part of the fair's entertainment lineup. As printed on the fair map: laser tag runs weekdays 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and weekends 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, located in the exhibit building. Nightly entertainment runs during the fair: the King BMX Bike Show and Lady Houdini perform most nights of the fair run, with showtimes posted at the fairgrounds. Livestock shows run through the fair, including beef showmanship and steer show, dairy goat show, meat goat show, lamb showmanship and market lamb show, and border collie demonstrations held in the large arena, with specific daily times posted at the fairgrounds.
