Dacula is the crossroads town on the east side of Gwinnett, and its best days are outdoor ones: the county's biggest parks sit at its edges, with the Hamilton Mill side for golf and dining. This list holds to real places, most of them open to the public every day.

1. Little Mulberry Park

The county's nature showpiece at the top of the city, nearly 900 acres with a waterfall walk, miles of wooded trail, and the paved loop around Miller Lake. It is Gwinnett's best free afternoon.

2. Harbins Park

The big county park on the east side with roughly 24 miles of trail including mountain biking, a dog park, a lake, and ball fields. Bring the bikes.

3. Duncan Creek Park

The 110-acre sports park on the Braselton highway with a skate park, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, and a lighted track. It is the Saturday sports hub of the northeast corner.

4. Dacula Park and the pool

The 76-acre city park with the seasonal outdoor pool, ball fields, a playground, and a paved loop trail. The pool is the summer anchor on hot afternoons.

5. Rabbit Hill Park

The county park with soccer fields, volleyball, and a three-area dog park, the easy stop when the dogs need the run.

6. Hamilton Mill Golf Club

The championship course at the heart of the Hamilton Mill community, the club side of Dacula's identity. Tee times book through the club.

7. Road Atlanta

The pro road course lies on the Braselton line five minutes north, with race weekends and a motorsports museum through the year. Listen for the engines on practice days.

8. Mulberry Village

The neighborhood shopping center on the Auburn Road with the grocery anchor and a quick row of restaurants, the errand stop between parks.

9. The Alegre Farm market

Dacula's market connection is a farm-gate operation on Givens Road listed with the Georgia Department of Agriculture, with online ordering and pickup. Confirm the current season before you drive.

10. The local table

Riverside Pizza, Asian Garden, and The Dawg House do the dependable weeknight shift, and Oola Bowls covers the Hamilton Mill side.
