The Characters of Christmas
Original characters created for Christmas bring the story to life across the mansion and grounds. They include Ded Zed, a vegan holiday zombie who prefers grains over brains, and Barkley and Oakley, the Fir Dogs, who headline the Fir Dog House, a family photo experience developed in partnership with animal rescue organizations.
Meet the cast
Ded Zed
Ded Zed is a vegan holiday zombie who prefers grains over brains. A Christmas original, he adds a playful, unexpected note to the holiday story, and his spirit bar has become one of the recognizable corners of the experience at Callanwolde.
Fir Dog House
Barkley and Oakley, the Fir Dogs
Barkley and Oakley, the Fir Dogs, headline the Fir Dog House, a family photo experience developed in partnership with animal rescue organizations. The Fir Dogs bring a warm, charitable thread to the winter story, and the photo experience built around them is a family-friendly stop of its own.
The puppeteer
Professor Asa Fizzwik
The cast also includes Professor Asa Fizzwik, portrayed by Steve Whitmire, the longtime performer and puppeteer known for bringing Kermit the Frog and Ernie to life alongside Muppets creator Jim Henson. Fizzwik brings that pedigree to the mansion's lower levels, where puppetry is one of the theatrical surprises guests encounter.
