Getting around Berkeley Lake
Berkeley Lake is a place where the roads are deliberately quiet: no through highways, no commercial strip, and streets that end at the water. Every errand belongs to the neighbor cities, all of them short drives.
Peachtree Corners, Norcross, and Duluth are five to ten minutes away, and I-85 is roughly ten minutes from the city center.
The roads
Quiet streets to the neighbor cities
The city's own streets are low-speed and residential, feeding out to Peachtree Corners' parkways, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, and the I-85 interchanges a short drive away. The lake loop and the shoreline roads are the town's walking and cycling routes.
Transit
The honest note
There is no transit stop in Berkeley Lake; the Ride Gwinnett routes run through the neighbor cities, and the MARTA rail stations are a drive away. The honest picture is a car town with a lake, and the commute math is the neighbor cities' math plus five minutes of quiet roads.
