Transport and commuting · The I-85 corridor
Getting around Norcross
Norcross sits right off I-85, which makes the highway the city's front door, with Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard carrying the local traffic and the freight railroad still running through downtown.
The historic square is genuinely walkable, transit runs through the county system and the MARTA Doraville station a short drive south.
The roads
The interstate at the edge
I-85 runs the city's east edge with direct access, and the interchange at the heart of Norcross carries the commuter and office traffic. Downtown sits minutes off the highway, and the railroad that created the town still runs through its middle, crossing signals and all.
Transit
County routes and the Doraville rail
The Ride Gwinnett county routes cover the corridor, and the MARTA rail line at Doraville is a short drive for the downtown commutes. The downtown square itself is best on foot: the whole historic district is a ten-minute walk.
