For New Residents
The first month in Loganville is a short list: set up the utility accounts, register the vehicles in the right county, get the library card, and learn the Main Street block and the county parks, because those are the centers of the city.
None of it is complicated, and most of the first month is best spent between the downtown and the parks.
Set up first
The essentials, in order
Water and sewer follow the city and county utility arrangements for your address, and electricity, gas, and internet are standard provider choices. The city of Loganville publishes its department contact points on its official site.
Register
Vehicles, voting, and the library
Vehicle registration runs through the Georgia Department of Driver Services and the tag office in whichever county your address falls in. Voter registration goes through the Walton or Gwinnett county elections office, by address side. The library card comes from the Azalea Regional Library System, and the O'Kelly Memorial Library at 363 Conyers Road is the local door.
First month
Learning the city in a week
The Main Street block
The restaurants and the diners on Main Street and the Atlanta Highway side carry the local dining scene.
The parks
Meridian Park and the city parks on the Walton side, and Vines and Bay Creek on the Gwinnett side, hold the green space.
The corridors
The Atlanta Highway carries the grocery and the everyday errands through the middle of the city.
