Gwinnett County Public Library

Libraries serving Buford

Buford is served by the Gwinnett County Public Library system, and the branch closest to the city is the Buford-Sugar Hill branch on Buford Highway. A Gwinnett library card works at every branch in the county, so the branch you start with does not have to be the one you end with.

For the Hamilton Mill side of the city, the Hamilton Mill branch across the line in Dacula is the closer door. Both branches below are real and verified by name and address.

The system

One card, fifteen branches

The Gwinnett County Public Library runs fifteen branches across the county, and one card opens them all. Books, holds, computers, and programs transfer between branches, which makes the system a genuine regional resource rather than a single-room answer.

The practical note

Cards and hours

Signing up for a card is free for Gwinnett residents. Branch hours move with the seasons and holidays, so check the library's own schedule before you drive across the city.
