Buford is one of the few cities in the region with its own independent school district. Addresses inside the city limits feed Buford City Schools, from a pre-kindergarten campus through the high school. Addresses outside the city limits, even with a Buford mailing address, follow Gwinnett County or Hall County schools by county line.

How it works
One address check decides the district
Buford City Schools serves grades pre-kindergarten through twelve across five campuses for addresses inside the city limits. The district is an independent city district, separate from Gwinnett County Public Schools. If your address sits outside the city limits, the zoning falls to Gwinnett County or Hall County schools instead, which is why the boundary map is the first check.
