Moving to Dacula is simpler on the county question than most cities on this corridor: it sits entirely inside Gwinnett County, so the school district and the tax digest do not depend on which side of a line your address is on. The checklist below is still worth running in order.

The school cluster
Dacula feeds the Gwinnett County Dacula cluster: the elementary schools lead to Dacula Middle and Dacula High. Check the cluster boundary map for your address, because the district has announced redistricting for 2026. The schools page has the chain.
The county is single
Dacula sits entirely in Gwinnett County, so the school, tax, and election answers do not change from street to street the way they do in the two-county cities.
Set up
Utilities, vehicles, and the library card
- Water and sewer follow the city and county utility arrangements; set the account up before the keys change hands.
- Register your vehicle with the Georgia Department of Driver Services and tag it in Gwinnett County.
- Register to vote through the Gwinnett County elections office.
- Get a library card at the Gwinnett County Public Library; the Dacula branch on Dacula Road is the closest door. The libraries page lists the branches.
Getting around
The roads that run the city
