The first month in Dacula is a short list: the county handles the schools and the big parks, the city runs its core services, and the Gwinnett library card opens every branch in the system. None of it is complicated.
Set up the essentials below, then spend the first month learning the two roads that run the city and the Hamilton Mill and Mulberry communities on its edges.

The essentials, in order
Water and sewer follow the city and county utility arrangements for your address, and electricity, gas, and internet are standard provider choices. The city of Dacula publishes its department contact points on its official site.
Register
Vehicles, voting, and the library
Vehicle registration runs through the Georgia Department of Driver Services and the Gwinnett County tag office. Voter registration goes through the Gwinnett County elections office. The library card comes from Gwinnett County Public Library, and the Dacula branch at 265 Dacula Road is the closest door.
First month
Learning the city in a week
The downtown core
Dacula's downtown runs along Dacula Road, with the restaurants, the Olde Mill Park green, and the grocery rows within a few minutes of each other.
The Hamilton Mill side
The Hamilton Mill community on the west side carries its own retail and the Hamilton Mill golf and country club.
The parks side
Little Mulberry Park and Rabbit Hill Park hold the biggest green spaces, with trails, lakes, and playgrounds.
