Start water service through the county before move-in day. The county serves the city's addresses directly.

Schedule the power turn-on with Georgia Power, usually a few days ahead of the move.

Trash

A permitted private hauler

Ask the HOA which hauler the neighborhood uses, or pick from the city's permitted list and contract directly.

Tags, registration, and the utilities note

Vehicle registration and property records run through the Fulton County Tax Commissioner, with a customer service center for north Fulton at 11575 Maxwell Road in Alpharetta and renewal kiosks inside Johns Creek. Voter registration is a county function as well, through the board of registration and elections. New residents have 30 days under Georgia law to register their vehicles.
