Piedmont Regional · Gwinnett County
Libraries serving Braselton
Braselton has a public library of its own, one of the few town services with a building right downtown: the Braselton Library at 15 Brassie Lane, a branch of the Piedmont Regional Library System. The four-county reality still applies, though: a Braselton address on the Gwinnett side is served by the Gwinnett County Public Library, with the Hamilton Mill branch the closest door.
Which system you use depends on the lot's county, same as the schools. This page keeps both answers straight and tells you what to bring to sign up.
The town branch

Braselton Library
15 Brassie Lane · Braselton, GA 30517 · (706) 654-1992
The town's public library, a branch of the Piedmont Regional Library System that serves Jackson, Barrow, and Banks counties from its headquarters in Jefferson. The Braselton branch sits a short walk from the Davis Street square, which makes it the library to pair with a downtown errand.
The county side
The Gwinnett answer for Gwinnett-side addresses
A lot on the Gwinnett County side of Braselton is served by the Gwinnett County Public Library system, and the nearest branch is Hamilton Mill at 3690 Braselton Highway in Dacula, a short drive west on the highway. One card works across the whole Gwinnett system, so the branch you use is whichever is easiest on a given week.
That split is worth knowing before you sign up: the Piedmont card and the Gwinnett card are different accounts in different systems. Choose by the county the address sits in, not by which building is prettier.
The practical note
What to know before you go
- Library cards are free; bring proof of address when you sign up.
- Hours vary by branch and season, so check the branch's calendar the day before you drive.
- Programs and meeting rooms are listed on each system's county-wide calendar.
- Which system serves you is decided by your lot's county, the same four-county split that decides the schools.
