For New Residents
The first month in Braselton is mostly administrative: the town handles water, sewer, trash, and police, your county handles schools and the ballot, and the public library sits right downtown. Get the utilities in your name, check which county the lot is in, and the rest of the town opens up quickly.

Set up first
Water, sewer, and trash through the town
Braselton is a utility-providing city, which keeps the setup simple: water, sewer, and residential trash all run through the town's Public Works utility office, with online billing once the account is open. Homeowners in the newer neighborhoods and the master-planned communities should confirm whether their HOA handles any of the utility arrangement, and everyone should ask the closing attorney who bills what.
For service questions the town also runs a 24-hour water service line; keep the number from the utility bill in the phone, not tucked in a drawer.
Register
The county question, written down
Register to vote with the county your lot is in, because Braselton spans four of them and the ballot follows the line. The town holds its own municipal elections through the county election office, so a new Braselton resident votes in both, but the voter registration itself goes to the county. The county assessor map is the place to confirm which county that is.
The other registration that matters: a library card. The Braselton Library sits at 15 Brassie Lane downtown, a branch of the Piedmont Regional Library System, and cards are free for residents. If your lot is on the Gwinnett side, the Gwinnett County Public Library is the system for you, with the Hamilton Mill branch a short drive away.

The full-service hospital in town, with emergency care, pediatrics, and the medical offices around it. Good to know where it is before you need it.
Braselton Park
126 Harrison Street · downtown
The town's main park: playground, splash pad in summer, tennis courts, pavilion, and the green where the festivals set up.
The downtown grocery runs
Publix at Highway 211 and at Braselton Village
Two Publix stores serve the town, one at the Highway 211 Vineyards center and one in Braselton Village, with Braselton Fine Foods downtown for the quick run.
The farmers market

The Braselton Farmers Market runs Friday afternoons on the Town Green through the warm months, which is also the fastest way to meet the neighborhood.
Who runs what
The two-layer answer, in one breath
The town runs the utilities, the police, the parks, and the library; the county runs the schools, the elections, and the county government. Ask the town for a water bill, a park, or a police matter; ask the county for a school zone, a ballot, or a property tax question. Both have offices and both publish their contact details openly.
