Gilmer County Charter Schools
Schools in Ellijay
One district serves every Ellijay address: Gilmer County Charter Schools, the countywide system. There is no city district and no split to untangle, which makes the school question here simpler than at most points south.
The district runs five schools: three elementaries, one middle school, and one high school.

Gilmer County Charter Schools
Gilmer County Charter Schools is the countywide public system, headquartered at 134 Industrial Boulevard in Ellijay. Because the whole county feeds one district, the address check that dominates school questions in Gwinnett and Hall simply does not apply here.
The district also runs the Gilmer County Pre-K program and the Mountain Innovation Program for grades 6 through 12, in addition to the five traditional schools.

The honest notes
What to check before a transfer
Zoning for the elementaries runs by attendance area, so confirm the assigned elementary for the street before you close. The middle and high school assignments are district-wide: every Ellijay address feeds Clear Creek Middle and Gilmer High.
For the extracurricular and athletics picture, the district site, gilmerschools.com, posts the calendars. New enrollment starts at the district office, and the new residents page walks the first weeks.
