This Weekend in Ellijay
The direct answer: as of October 26, 2026, no events are confirmed inside Ellijay's sources for the weekend of Friday October 30 through Sunday November 1, Halloween weekend. The Georgia Apple Festival ran its two October weekends and has concluded. This page only lists what is confirmed.
The honest mountain picks are Helen Oktoberfest's closing weekend at the Festhalle and Boo at the Zoo at NOGAWILD, with Scares on the Square in Dahlonega on Halloween evening.
The honest answer
Apple festival concluded, the mountain draws on
The Georgia Apple Festival ran October 10-11 and 17-18 at the Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds and has concluded for 2026, so the guide says so plainly. The confirmed nearby draws are Helen Oktoberfest's closing weekend at the Festhalle, Saturday 1:00 to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with free Sunday admission; Boo at the Zoo at NOGAWILD, Friday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and Scares on the Square in Dahlonega on Halloween evening, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
What never needs a date
The evergreen standbys
When the calendar is quiet, the at-the-door options are not: the downtown square, the apple houses, and the mountain roads all run without a ticket.
