Council district · One of five seats
Mulberry District 3
The City of Mulberry is governed by a five-member council, and District 3 is one of the five seats: one council member elected to represent the neighborhoods of District 3 on the city council.
This page is deliberately general. District boundaries are drawn on official maps, and this guide does not print a boundary line or a neighborhood list, because the only reliable answer for a specific property is the official district map. If you need to know your district, use that map, and if you are still unsure, ask the city itself.
The seat
What District 3 means
Mulberry's charter sets up five council districts, and each one elects a single council member who represents that district's neighborhoods. District 3 is the third of those five seats. Kyle Shields was elected to represent District 3 in the city's first election in late 2024, and the council took office with the city itself on January 1, 2025. Seats change by election like any Georgia city, so the roster on the city's official website is the current source for who holds the seat today.
The district member carries one vote on the council along with the other four members, and every regular council meeting includes a public-comment period, which is the direct way to speak to the whole council, including your district's member, on the record.
Finding your district
The honest boundary note
Answers to which district a street is in come from two places: the official City of Mulberry council-districts map, and the equivalent map published by Gwinnett County's election office, which also runs the city's elections. Both are the authoritative source. This guide does not draw the line for you, because a mixed-up district answer sends someone to the wrong meeting for the wrong seat.
If you cannot settle it from the official map, contact the city directly and confirm. Residents should always confirm specifics with the city itself, since the map is the only thing that matters and any shortcut risks being wrong.
How the city government worksThe other districts
The council's other seats: District 1, District 2, and District 4. All five seats, the meetings, and how residents get heard are covered on the government page.
