Parks Near Mulberry
Mulberry is a brand-new, limited-service city, so the parks its residents actually use are Gwinnett County parks, and the best of them sit at the city's doorstep: Little Mulberry along the east side, Duncan Creek off Braselton Highway, and Harbin's field complex a little farther out. Every name below is a real, open county or state park, verified by name and location.
The direct answer for a free afternoon: Little Mulberry for walking, Duncan Creek for courts and playgrounds, Harbin for ball fields. Fort Yargo in Barrow County is the swimming-and-camping drive.
The big ones at the city line
The parks Mulberry actually uses
Little Mulberry Park
On the Mulberry line · Dacula and Auburn entrances
The county showpiece at Mulberry's door: about 890 acres of forest and meadow, paved and unpaved trail miles, a pond loop, disc golf, an equestrian trail, and leashed dogs welcome.
Duncan Creek Park
In Dacula, off Braselton Highway
About 110 acres with a lighted skate complex, four lighted basketball courts, three sand volleyball courts, a playground with handicap-accessible features, a pavilion, and a football field with a lighted walking track.
Harbin Park
Dacula · Luke Edwards Road
One of the county's largest parks, with a seven-field baseball and softball complex, a dog park, playgrounds, pavilions, and miles of trail on the Mulberry side of Luke Edwards Road.
Dacula Park
Dacula Road, Dacula
The community park with a shaded loop trail, pond, playgrounds, tennis courts, sports fields, and a summer pool. The county rattles on renovations here, so check status before planning a trip.
Rabbit Hill Park
Dacula · Rabbit Hill Road
The big game-day park south of the city: soccer, baseball, football fields, a disc golf course, paved trail loop, and playgrounds.
Olde Mill Park
Dacula · 2nd Avenue
The quiet neighborhood park in Dacula for a short loop and a playground afternoon, the anti-showpiece for days when less is more.
A short drive
The state park and the greens beyond
Fort Yargo State Park
A short drive into Barrow County
Lake paddling and swimming, camping, and a quiet trail system around a 260-acre lake, a straight shot when the county parks feel too familiar.
The trail miles
Little Mulberry loops
The unpaved trail miles are the real draw of the Mulberry side: Little Mulberry's meadow loops and equestrian path are the most local answer for a long run or a dog walk with room to breathe.
